From the very start in Nursery, children are welcomed into a close-knit, family-like environment where they stay with the same classmates throughout their school journey – creating a sense of stability and strong friendships.
We pride ourselves on our inclusive atmosphere, where children don’t wear a school uniform and use first names between staff and pupils. It’s a small thing, but it speaks to the mutual respect and individuality we encourage every day.
We encourage every child to step outside their comfort zone, to grow not just academically but personally, with a strong focus on building a lifelong love of learning in a place where children feel empowered, confident, and ready to embrace challenges.
Kindness
Kindness is at the heart of everything we do. We nurture a culture where every child treats others with respect, compassion, and empathy. Our annual 'Cool to be Kind Week' is a special moment, but kindness is something we practice every day – in every lesson, on the playground, and in all our interactions.
Confidence
We build confidence by combining social skills with high expectations. Our pupils are encouraged to step up, knowing they have the self-belief and support to succeed. This confidence shines through in public speaking opportunities, school performances, and as tour guides during open events, fostering a strong sense of self that extends beyond the classroom.
Courage
We believe courage is about stepping up and embracing the unknown with confidence. Pupils are encouraged to face challenges head-on, knowing it’s okay to make mistakes along the way. Whether through pupil-led initiatives, leadership roles, or trying something new, we create an environment where taking risks is celebrated, allowing them to discover just how capable they truly are.
Honesty
We teach our children the value of self-reflection, helping them acknowledge both their successes and the areas they can grow. By understanding that no one gets everything right all the time, our pupils develop resilience and a genuine drive to improve.
